Element Diagrams 19-36 due tomorrow

Today in class:
Review Element Diagrams 19-36
Diagram worksheets (blank)

Adopt an Element Project:
1.  Elements are chosen randomly.
2.  The organization and color coding will follow the periodic table found on page 338-339 in the textbook.
3.  A summary of your element will be pasted on to the back of your card with glue.  It needs to include:
Who discovered it,
When it was discovered,
Where it is found today,
What it is used for today
Other interesting facts
4.  The Bohr Diagram must be completed in the same color as the information card.  An example of your diagram can be found be going to chemicalelements.com and clicking on your element.  Scroll down to see the diagram.  Use an orange compass to measure a 1 inch radius circle for the nucleus.  A 1.5 inch radius circle will be used for the first shell.  A 2 inch radius circle will be used for the second shell and each shell thereafter will be an additional 1/2 inch in radius.
5.  Your Bohr diagram will need to be two sided because of how it will be hanging below your information card.  You will need 2 separate diagrams fastened together for it to look best.  Many times the marker will bleed through a single sheet of paper.
